Robert Chibry of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 67 years.
Robert was a remarkably generous man, known for his selflessness and willingness to help others. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Robert was predeceased by his parents and brothers. For the last 20 years, Robert was cared for by his best friend, Michael, whom he met in the 1990s. He relied on Michael, especially after another one of his good friends, Bruce, suffered a brain injury in a head-on collision. Robert, who had a heart condition, showed incredible resilience and kindness throughout his life. Despite having no contact with his family, Robert never lacked for companionship or care.
Robert spent his entire career in the service industry, where his warmth and friendly nature made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was truly a great guy and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
