Raymond Blair passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the age of 80 years.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Shelley (Denis); grandchildren, Kayla & Jesse; brothers, Wade, Ed (Wendy) & Andy (Patty); nieces and nephews, Dale, Shawna, Matt, Jeff, Tommy & Krista; and extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Edna.
Ray was born in Chaplin, SK before the Blair family moved to Calgary when he was young. For more than 30 years, he worked for Western Canada Steel and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Ray was able to take an early retirement during which he enjoyed living on his acreage tending to his horses.
If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ray’s name to the Kidney Foundation.
A Celebration of Life for Ray will take place a later date.
