It is with heavy hearts that the family of Edward Riach, beloved husband of Heather Riach (nee Simpson), of Calgary, AB, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the age of 87 years.
He was born on April 13, 1937, in Glasgow, Scotland, to James and Margaret Riach.
He married his wife Heather on October 2, 1964, in Scotland. Edward, Heather, and their son came to Calgary, AB, in 1967.
Edward worked at CPR and then the Calgary Herald for 27 years and retired in 1994. After retirement, he loved spending time working in his garden, attending to his pond, and traveling.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care team that attended to Edward’s care, as well as Dr. Apantaku.
