Obituary of Constance Marie-Therese Bennett

In loving memory of Constance Bennett (1929-2024), it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Connie, who left us on Thursday, November 14, 2024. A beloved mother of six, and a devoted and loving wife to Victor Bennett, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Together, they raised six children, nurturing them with boundless love, wisdom, and grace. Her role as a mother was her greatest pride, and her legacy extends to her ten adored grandchildren and her great-grandchild, who will carry her spirit forward in their hearts.
Born on October 14, 1929, in Edmundston, NB, she was the daughter of Mary Maclsaac and Arthur Cyr.
Connie worked as a nurse, and then as a stewardess with CP Air which was the beginning of her lifelong passion for travel. She was adventurous in spirit, which led her to travel far and wide with Victor, exploring the world’s beauty and cultures with a sense of wonder. Whether on journeys near or far, she cherished each new experience and connection.
At the heart of Connie’s life was her faith. She was deeply devoted to her beliefs, finding joy and solace in her spiritual community and daily practice.
Connie will be remembered for her love of art, her beautiful singing voice, her sense of humor, her kindness, and above all, her radiant smile. She had a compassionate heart and an unwavering commitment to her family. She leaves behind her cherished children, Sydney (Kelly), Leslie (Gerry), Guy (Karen), Christian, Joanna (Brian), and Alex (Rolf); her ten loving grandchildren, Alessandra, Arianne, Bennett, Jenna, Tori, Andrew, Jamie, Alex, Elyse, Nicolette; and her great-grandchild Marco.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
