It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandfather, Barry Reynolds, who passed away on June 11, 2024. He was 72 years old and lived in Brooks, AB for the past 20 years.
Born on September 28, 1952, in Boissevaine, MB, Barry Reynolds was the son of Kenneth Reynolds and Jean Zalinski (McKay). He has a younger brother (Randy) and a younger sister (Susan). He grew up in Minto, MB until he was 12 years old when they moved to Winnipeg, MB., and attended R.B. Russell where he excelled in Barbering. Due to a fire, he was unable to work as a barber. After his education, he worked many jobs until he landed with the City of Brandon in several different positions. In the early 2000’s he followed employment to Brooks, AB.
Barry married his high school sweetheart Sheila Reynolds (Tyerman). Barry had 3 children (Jason (Candace), Kristen (Melanie), and Bradley (Rithy) and 8 grandchildren (Ainsley, Melody, Chantelle, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Dylan, Akyra, and Robert), all of whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his family whenever possible. His grandchildren will remember him for his loving nature, his goofy smile, and his caring heart. He was predeceased by his wife Sheila Reynolds and Father Kenneth Reynolds.
In his free time, Barry loved to tinker, small engine repairs, bike repairs, and build model cars.. He was an avid Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan and was often found in his yard tending to his lawn or watching the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on TV.
A private graveside service will be held on July 15, 2024, at Brandon Municipal Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend the service to pay their final respects. There will be a small luncheon at the Holiday Inn Express in Brandon following the graveside service.
Barry Reynolds will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren. Rest in peace, Grandpa.
