Elizabeth Isaac Obituary
Elizabeth Isaac passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She was born in Alix, Alberta on October 3, 1933, to Will and Ruby Ballard. Elizabeth and her 6 siblings; Bill (Valerie), Don (Vivian), Stan (Peggy), Pat (Oliver), Sharon (Elias), and Ted (Fran), grew up on a farm in Atmore, Alberta.
While attending school in Athabasca she met the love of her life Bill Isaac. They were married on July 8, 1955. Elizabeth loved children; she attended U of A, taught school for many years and provided love and support to numerous foster children.
Elizabeth was a loving mother to her children Katherine (Courtland), Tim, Carol (Mike), Ken, David (Tarrah), Jason (Harmony), Colleen (Kevin), and Ronnie.
She travelled extensively, was actively involved in her church, and enjoyed spending time in her garden.
After raising her family, Elizabeth continued to support her community for many years as a Home Health Care Aid. She retired at the age of 84.
Elizabeth’s memory and love for life will be carried on by her 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The immediate family will have a private interment in the coming days. Family and friends will be welcomed to a Celebration of Life in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stollery Children’s Hospital (www.stollerykids.com/donate) in Elizabeth’s honour.
