Obituary of Bruce Foley
BRUCE AUBREY FOLEY was born December 8, 1963, in Port Colborne, Ontario and died suddenly at the age of 59, on May 23, 2023. Predeceased by his father John, his mother Marion, his siblings John Allen and Sheri Lynn, his nephew Aubrey, and his father-in-law Cookie. Survived by his loving wife, Jackie, his chosen son, Barry Lynds (Stephanie), daughters CaSandra Beaulieu (Daniel), and Britney Jarram, step-mother Joy Foley, sisters Laurie Foley, and Lynn Dubciak (Rod), his grandchildren Nicole and Gerard Bruce Wayne Lynds, and Sydney, Hudson, and Paysley Beaulieu, mother-in-law Suzanne Laurin, brothers-in-law Jamie Laurin (Tina) and Jeff Laurin, his nieces and nephews Victoria and Quinn Dubicak, and Hunter, Connor, and Rylee Laurin. His spirit will be carried in all of their hearts.
Bruce was always happiest surrounded by his friends and family. He was the life of the party (and usually insisted on hosting it). He loved his people, and he loved them hard, however he was also very giving to anyone he encountered who was going through a difficult time, doing whatever he could to make things “nicey” for them. In 1977 Trooper sang, “We’re here for a good time, not a long time, so have a good time, the sun can’t shine every day.” Bruce lived this mantra to its fullest.
Cremation has taken place. At Bruce’s request there will be a Celebration of Life, as he would want to be remembered as he lived. A party to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held for relatives and friends, at the family home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospital for Sick Children, Bruce’s charity of choice.
