Edward Francis Bromley, born in St. Anthony on January 22, 1941 passed away peacefully on May 15, 2023 at St. Clares Mercy Hospital at the age of 82.
Edward grew up on Fischot Island and later moved to Harbour De View where he met the love of his life Irene. They raised 5 beautiful children together and resettled to Goose Cove in 1979. He loved life on the water, he fished with his best friend and Cousin John Joe for 71 years. he was happiest when he was out in boat, on the wharf or over in Harbour De View.
He loved visitors to sit around the table with and maybe have a little drop of stuff telling old stories or listening to the fisheries broadcast. Edward was a quiet, gentle man, he didn’t fuss about much and he loved his children dearly, especially his two beloved daughters.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
