Brian Owen Harris
1954-2023
The passing of Brian Owen Harris occurred at the Grand Manan
Hospital, Grand Manan NB on April 23, 2023. Born on Grand Manan NB on
July 31, 1954, he was a son of the late John and Hazel (Munroe)
Harris. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother,
Brian is survived by his children: Melissa Robinson (Karl) and Gordon
Harris (Lindsay Brown) both of Grand Manan NB; his grandchildren:
Lauren, Angela, Daimon Leonard, Weston, Rena, Drew, Colton, Ocean and
Allegra; great-grandchildren: King, Danny and Ryan; siblings: Linda
Palk (Cecil) of Beaver Harbour NB, Steven Harris of Grand Manan NB and
Douglas Harris of Tower Hill NB; and by several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by one son,
Henry; and siblings: George and Raymond.
Prior to his retirement, Brian worked hard as a fisherman and
spent his whole career around the water. He was a quiet man who
enjoyed keeping to himself but was always willing to help those in
need. Brian will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and
many of us have been on the receiving end of his pranks. His humor and
devotion to his family will be sadly missed by all who knew
him.
Resting at the Community Life Church, Grand Harbour NB with
visiting on Thursday from 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the
church on Friday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating
followed by the interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. In
Brian’s memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to
the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
