Brian Carson
1956-2023
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Brian
Carson, 66, of Havelock on July 28th, 2023 at
his home. Born in Sus, he was a son to the late Russell &
Barbara (Huckstepp) Carson.
Survived and sadly missed by his loving wife of 45 years Ruth
(Plume); his three daughters: Veronica Carson (Kerry), Dallas Carson,
Megan Carson-Menzie (Lucas).; his 5 grandchildren: Torah, Trace,
Kannon, Lincoln and Drewyn; his three brothers: Danny (Deb), Gary
(Lynette) and Jim (Sue) as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Brian graduated from PRHS in 1974 where he met and married
his high school sweetheart, Ruth, in 1978. He raised his three
daughters and many foster children over the last 30 years and retired
from Graymont in Havelock in 2019.
Brian was extremely hardworking and a Jack of all
trades. He was selfless and always willing to lend a hand
without hesitation. He spent countless hours working on his
property, mowing, gardening and being in the woods. Brian always kept
up with current events, politics and he’d never miss an
episode of Live at 5. Brian spent decades as a member Of the Havelock
Lions club. He really enjoyed playing Santa Claus every year
and bringing joy to many children’s
faces.
Brian loved watching sports – especially watching his
daughters and more recently his grand kids. He was extremely proud and
spent many early mornings at the rink. Brian may have been a homebody
but he always enjoyed his monthly poker nights with the
boys. He was no stranger to a dance floor as he loved
music. His quick wit, sarcasm and contagious giggle will be
missed. Brian’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by
his family, watching Coronation Street and being a
G’pa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury
Funeral Home, 506-372-4800. A time of gathering and sharing of
memories will be held on Thursday, August 3rd
from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Salisbury Funeral Home. All are
welcome.
