We are saddened by the sudden loss of Brett Michael Lawrence. Brett passed away on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 at the age of 50. He leaves behind his loving parents, Rinie (Michael) and Michael (Shona). He will be missed by his sisters Karly Leidl, Christina Moltzahn (Lee), Kate Hummelen (Mike), and Heather Bajada (Victor). Brett will also be missed by his many aunts and uncles and his nieces and nephew, Allyson, Gage, Camryn and Veronica.
Brett was known for so many wonderful things. He had a fantastic sense of humour. He was a dedicated dog owner and especially loved to rescue dogs – he loved taking care of the late Hamilton, Stryker and Dexter. Brett could be found watching the Blue Jays, playing video games or enjoying music, particularly jazz. He also collected records and comics, and loved Batman. Brett took great pride in his job at Chatham Retirement Resort where he worked in maintenance for more than 25 years. He will be missed by residents and staff alike. Brett was loved by so many special friends.
A Celebration of Life for Brett will be held on Sunday, May 21st from 1pm to 4pm at The Kent Club (287 King Street West, Chatham). If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please consider PAWR.
