The family announces with great sorrow her death on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 65. She leaves behind her partner John Osipenko. Beloved mother of Amanda Lefebvre (Joel Barrett) and Shannon Lemieux (Pascal). Cherished grandmother of Brooklyn Fortier, Liam Lemieux, Kylie Fortier, Jaxson Lemieux and Elliot Lemieux. Dear sister of Cathy Vrolyk, Jim Meehan (Stephanie), Sharron Meehan-Charbula (John), Sandy Meehan, and Patrick Meehan (Jackie). Also left to mourn is her aunt Marjorie Meehan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Brenda is predeceased by her parents Earl and Barbara (nee Brandreth) Meehan.
Brenda will be remembered for her witty sense of humour. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, near and far.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11am at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery (Section J, Row 18). The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 7-9 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations made to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
