Brad Jess Laughlin
January 23, 1933 – April 1, 2023
We regret to announce the passing of Brad Laughlin at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Center on the evening of Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 90 years.
Always a family man, he proudly hung family photos within his home. Brad enjoyed raising his beloved Pomeranians, and he appreciated thoroughbred racing horses and jersey cattle. Brad received his certification as a chef after WW2, working in hospitals and camps around Alberta; he worked hard to provide for his family.
Brad is survived by his children, Karen (Ken), Brian (Debbie), and Dale; grandchildren, Tery (Debbie), Maisie, Michelle, Andrea, Jared, Dustin, and Shelby; numerous great-grand children and three great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way in May; and his caregiver and friend, Robert.
Brad was predeceased by his sons Bruce and Kevin; daughters, Sherrie and Debbie; nephew, Elmer and his parents.
The family would like to thank Brad’s caregiver, Robert for the personal care and friendship he showed Brad over the years, as well as the nursing staff and Doctors at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Center for their wonderful and compassionate care during Brad’s stay.
For those who so desire, memorial contributions in Brad’s name may be made directly to an animal charity of one’s choice.
