Bradford (Brad) Jones
1948-2023
Bradford (Brad) Jones, 74, of Riverview, NB,
passed away peacefully on January 25, 2023, at the Grass
Home.
Born in Chatham, NB, Brad was the oldest of eight
children born to Ivan and Joanne (Brown) Jones. In his teen
years, Brad began playing with bands locally as a drummer and later
moved to Ottawa and Hull to pursue his musical passion. Brad
was an entrepreneur at heart and when struck with an idea, he always
turned it into a reality. Outside of his career at Hub Meat
Packers, Brad owned and operated several businesses including a meat
market and restaurant. He enjoyed fly fishing, travelling,
woodworking, listening to music, telling a tall tale (or two), making
people laugh, and his family, most of all.
Brad will be missed by his mother, Joanne, his
beloved wife of 52 years, Heather, his daughter, Beverly Somers
(Matt), cherished grandchildren, Jaxon and Jorja; his siblings, Diane
(Amos), Gary, Wayne (David), Darlene (Brian), Greg (Brendah), his
sister-in-law, Carol Stables and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Ivan, his sister Maureen, brother
Brian, and brother-in-law, Bob Stables.
At Brad’s request, there will be no
formal services, however, the family would like to invite everyone to
celebrate Brad by taking the time to drum or sing along to their
favourite song.
Cremation care is by Salisbury Funeral Homes
(506-372-4800).
If so desired, donations in memory of Brad, can be
made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children or Hospice of
Southeast NB.
