Fitzsimmons, Bonnie Ruth (nee Parker) – In her 67th year passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Hospice Peterborough. Beloved wife of Scott Fitzsimmons for 36 years. Loving mother of Julia McGugan (Jerry), Krista Fitzsimmons (Al) and Jennie Fitzsimmons (Brian). Cherished grandmother of Daniella, Navy, Indie, Adelissa and Rory. Beloved daughter of Ronald and Shirley Parker. Dear daughter-in-law to Don and the late Lenore Fitzsimmons. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Janice Mason (Terry) and aunt to Tara, Candice, Kali and Chad. Predeceased by her brother Danny Parker and her brother-in-law Bob Fitzsimmons (Krista). Early on, Bonnie worked at the Children’s Aid Society before joining her husband Scott to help build Fitzsimmons Garage to the business it is today. Bonnie dedicated many years to volunteering with the Peterborough Figure Skating Club and was an avid sponsor of the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd.). A Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in the Highland Park Chapel with a reception to follow. In memory of Bonnie, donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough.
