Obituary of Blanche Bernice Brewer
The passing of Blanche Bernice Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late John Brewer, occurred on March 14, 2023 at York Care Centre. Born on November 6, 1934 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Annie (Shephard) Edmondson. Blanche worked as a Personal Support Worker for York Care Center. She was a member of the Burtts Corner Church of Christ for over 60 years, the Burtts Corner Church of Christ Sewing Circle and the Ladies Birthday Group. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, word search, cooking and looking after her birds.
Blanche is survived by her children Bradley Brewer, Betty Jones (Beryl), Kelli Henderson (Douglas) and Trent Brewer (Kim); grandchildren, Nicole Jones (Corey), Daniel Henderson (Kenisha), Rickie Brewer (Melanie), Mychel Henderson and Davis Brewer; great granddaughter, Dale Brewer; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard “Ricky” Brewer and brother Ivan Edmondson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dixon Lodge at York Care Center for the care they provided during Blanche’s time there.
Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday March 16, 2023 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday March 17, 2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Dan Foreman officiating. Interment will take place in the Burtts Corner Community Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
