Blaine Richard Wolff of Fort McMurray, Alberta, passed away on January 22nd, 2023, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre of Fort McMurray, AB, at age 54. Blaine wished to be cremated and have his cremated remains spread in the waters near Victoria.
Blaine was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, to Richard and Doris (McNabb) Wolff on July 21st, 1968. He spent his younger school years in Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek, British Columbia., and he graduated in Prince George from College Heights Secondary in 1986. From there, he went to Victoria, British Columbia, where he lived and worked for approximately 15 years. Blaine loved Victoria, so it makes you wonder why he would leave it for Fort McMurray; but like so many others, he moved for work, and for the last 9 years, he worked as a technician for Culligan Water. He loved Fort McMurray for the many good friends he made and worked with here.
Blaine is survived by his mother; Doris Steele, and brother; Ross Wolff, both of Scotch Creek, British Columbia. Brother; Devin (Shelley) Wolff, nephew; Hayden Wolff and niece; Jordyn Wolff of Prince George, British Columbia. His uncle; Lyle (Donna) McNabb of Grand Forks, British Columbia, and aunts; Gloria McNabb of Scotch Creek, Grace McNabb of Vernon, British Columbia, and Zelma Wolff of Martinsville, Saskatchewan, along with many cousins throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. He also left behind his many good friends, most notably Jennifer Allen & Brian Malbon and their girls Coraline, Alexia and Celina.
The family wishes to express gratitude to his many good friends and coworkers and to the doctors and nurses whose excellent and caring service to Blaine was exemplary.
An informal memorial for friends and family will be held in the Poplar room of the Quality Hotel located at 424 Gregoire Drive, Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
