HELKA, Bill “Wild Bill” – Passed away at home on Thursday, January 19th, 2023. Mr. Bill Helka of Simcoe in his 90th year. Husband of Barb for 67 years. Loving father and grandfather to Bill Jr. (Janet) and their children Katie (Ty) their son Gotham; Susan (Tony) their children Jessica, her son Blake, Eamon, Roxanne, Robyn (Mike) their children Paige and Georgia; and John (Irene). Dear brother of Donna (Tom) and the late Fred. Predeceased by his parents Blake and Florence Helka. Bill will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends. Bill was retired from the L.C.B.O and he was a longtime Umpire. He loved baseball, hockey, golf, hunting, the great outdoors and his grandkids. Proud member of the Odd Fellows and The Phoenix Club. Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S, Simcoe (519-426-1314) where service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Reverend Mary Jo Patterson officiating.
