Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces Bev’s passing at the age of 84 on February 24, 2023 at Joseph Brant Hospital. Beloved wife to the late Jim Ling and cherished mother to David (Sherie) Christensen, Larry Andrea) Christensen, Denis Christensen, and James Ling. Grandma to Cody, Alyssa (Chris), Kaydee, Davey(Caitlin), Craig, Noa, and Nava. Great Grandma to Jeremiah and Jupiter. She will be missed by her sister in law Karen Heaslip, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by her much loved parents Leonard and Ellen, her brother Len and his wife Lola, brother in law David, and Jim’s son James Harris Ling.
Bev will be remembered for her many years involved in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority – various chapters. She loved animals and she previously volunteered at the Humane Society looking after cats. She loved gardening and won many Trillium Awards over the years, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends in the building she lived in, she went to her childrens and grandchildren’s sporting events throughout the years, she spent many hours doing crossword puzzles, she loved traveling with Jim. She loved going to her home in Chautauqua Institute and camping in Rainbow Lake where many memories were made.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bev’s Life will take place at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to either Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society as she loved animals would be appreciated by the family.
