BOOTH, (“Betty”) Elizabeth Ann (Hiller) (January 25, 1933 – February 20, 2023)
It is with sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our much loved wife, mother, sister, and friend, (“Betty”) Elizabeth Ann (Hiller) Booth, a long-time Tillsonburg resident, on February 20th, 2023, at the age of 90. Betty was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg. Many will remember Betty for her over 20 years of dedication and volunteering with the Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg. Lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her loving husband of 67 years, Wm. (“Bill”) Booth. Always a wonderful, supportive mother to Mark Booth, of Tillsonburg, Christopher Booth (Caroline), of Toronto and a wonderful grandmother to their children Gabby and Patrick. Also predeceased by two much-loved sons Stephen Booth (Oct. 3, 1995) and Michael Booth (Oct. 3, 1989). Survived by her sister Margarite and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Edith Hiller, as well as by three brothers Gerald, James, and Lawrence.
Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, February 23rd, between 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A traditional Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial to honour Betty’s Life will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, by Deacon Andre De Decker of St. Mary’s R.C. Church. Cremation follows with later inurnment in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Everyone who knew Betty is invited to share favourite memories, photos, personal condolences or, in lieu of flowers, contribute memorial donations to the “Canadian Cancer Society” via Betty’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
