Bette Arseneau (nee Archer), 83, of Moncton, passed away on
Sunday April 2, 2023 at home. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter
of the late Harry and Dorothy (Bell) Archer.
She is survived by two sons: Kirk (Angela) and Kevin
(Nathalie); one grandchild, Laylen; as well as many nieces and
nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas
(2006); and five brothers: Gordon, Ken, Don, Bob, and
Douglas.
Bette was always on the go – the term social
butterfly might have been coined after her. Her generosity was immense
– a cake baker for over 50 years, helping at her favourite
weekly country club, and making sure everyone had a Christmas
gift. Her Christmas tree was her biggest joy and loved to
show it off to everyone, which could be seen 365 days a
year.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday
April 10 from 2 to 4 pm only. There will be no funeral service. In
memory of Bette, a contribution to PAW (People for Animal Wellbeing)
or the Atlantic Wildlife Institute would be
appreciated.
