Obituary of Bert Trépanier
The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Friday, February 24, 2023 of Albert “Bert” Trépanier of Stratford, age 80.
Bert will be especially missed by his loving wife, Ilse (Andersen) and sister and brother-in-law Lolly and Wayne Dorey of Nova Scotia. Bert also leaves behind his only child, Michael Andersen Jones, his daughter-in-law Lisa and grandchildren, Gemma, Gavin and Astrid Andersen Jones of Newfoundland. Bert will be missed by his family and friends on PEI, NS and Denmark. Predeceased by his mother, Doris (Larkin) Mercure and father, Albert “Trep” Trépanier of Nova Scotia.
Bert was a man of many talents and words. He truly enjoyed dealing with customers and business associates of Metro Distributing, an office furniture and installation business he owned with his wife, Ilse in Cornwall, PEI for 14 years.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in late May 2023 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to Father Danny Wilson of St. Anthony’s Parish for performing the Last Rites and thank you to EMS, the Doctors and Nurses in Unit 3 and in the Emergency at QEH for the care and compassion for both Bert and Ilse.
