Bernard Wolf (Bernie)
May 7, 1945 to May 25, 2023
Bernard was born on May 7, 1945 to Leon and Martha Wolf in Boizenburg, Germany. In 1952 the family came by boat to Halifax. They came to New Sarepta for a year, then moved to the Tomahawk area where they lived on two quarter sections, with brothers Henry and Adolf. Bernard went to school in Tomahawk.
Bernard worked for Pool Construction building the Brazeau Dam; he also worked for Manx building pipeline. He worked for Flint Engineering from 1962-1969, from 1969-1975 he worked for J.F. Oilfield Maintenance for John and Nancy Founier.
He married Lauren Wagar, July 27, 1974. From 1975-1977 he worked for Don Pearson, pipelining for Parkland Maintenance. He bought a truck from Don and started Bernard Wolf Maintenance subcontracting for Amoco, Mobil Oil, and Bob Dale Oilfield until he retired in 2008.
Forever to treasure his memory, Bernie is survived by his wife; Lavern; children, Leonard and Eric; 3 grandchildren; Mathew, Caiden, and Lana; brother Adolf, all of whom he loved a lot. Bernie is predeceased by his mom, Martha and his father Leon; sister Alfrieda; brother, Henry and brother-in-law, Albert.
Bernie loved watching and playing hockey and liked gardening; he was a wonderful husband; he loved the cars he had especially his G.T.O. which he raced when he was younger. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and holidays in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Mazatlán, and Hawaii. Bernard was able to go back to Germany and see the Barons property where Bernard lived as a child and to visit his godparents.

A private family funeral service for Bernard will take place Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Emmaus Lutheran Church, Drayton Valley, Alberta with interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Drayton Valley.
