Obituary of Bernice Elizabeth Timmerman
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Bernice on Monday March 20, 2023.
She has gone to be with her husband Harold Nicholas who has been waiting for her since March 2003. Loving mom of Carol Timmerman and Karen Lanteigne (Yves). Adored Nan of Lindsay Shaddock (Patrick) and Jason Lanteigne (Brooke). Cherished Great Nan of Owen Shaddock and Olivia Shaddock.
Predeceased by her parents Mary and Delbert Adrain.
Bernice made her life’s work making a safe and loving home for her family. She always had a smile, a word of encouragement, and a big hug any time; day or night. She was always there to help with any task big or small. She spent many hours working on the yard and planting flowers. She always had treats for everyone.
She gave her daughters Carol and Karen great values to live by. She has a special place in her son in law’s (Yves Lanteigne) heart. He was always around to help out with challenges.
She was so proud of her grandchildren Lindsay Shaddock and Jason Lanteigne and all their accomplishments. She was always happy to have many visits with Jason and his wife Brooke and Lincoln puppy. She had her wall covered with photos. She loved photos of her family. Her eyes always lit up when Lindsay brought her great grandchildren Owen and Olivia by for a visit along with the kitties Loki and Indigo. She loved Owen and Olivia dearly; they gave her great joy. She was so proud they were growing into wonderful people, doing well at school, and following their passions in sports and gymnastics.
We know she will miss us all, but she will be so glad to be with Harold and catch up on all the time they have missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home on Friday March, 24, 2023 at 12pm with visitation an hour prior. She will be laid to rest with Harold at Cataraqui Cemetery immediately following the service.
The family would like to send a special thank you to St. Elizabeth personal support workers and CBI palliative nursing services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
