CHANDLER, Bernette Lynn -62, of Bridgewater, passed away
April 30, 2023 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in
Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the Late Douglas Arthurs, and Ethel
(Nauss) Arthurs, Bridgewater.
Bernette enjoyed working as a waitress and bar tender. She
also worked in Resolute Bay, Fort Providence for several years. She
then purchased her little home in Bridgewater, working on it everyday.
She weeded her gardens, painted the house, mowed the lawn and piled
wood.
She enjoyed her crafts, playing games with her sister
Elizabeth, friends Sue and Mary, who also took her to her
appointments, which we appreciated greatly.
Besides her mother Ethel, she is survived by her son Glenn
Arthurs; daughter Jessie Arthurs; sister Elizabeth Arthurs; brother
Marc Arthurs; grandchildren Chelsea, Logan, Dylan and William. She was
predeceased by her son Kyle Chandler; grandmother Rita Kinney, who
passed Christmas Day in 2022. Special thanks go out to the Doctors and
Nurses who have cared for Bernette.
A celebration of Life will be held with location and date to
be determined.
Memorial donations may be made to any
charity. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.A. Corkum
