Bernadette Louise Gillieo

Age 75 of Arcadia, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Melbourne, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Louise “Hazel” (Surette) Harrington.
Mom loved her family and her dogs. She was a treasured volunteer at the Melbourne Community Hall. You could always count on mom for making rappie pie, cookies, sweets and sandwiches. Bernadette loved country music, watching birds, collecting dishes, broaches and jewelry.
Bernadette is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth “Ken” Gillieo; oldest daughter, Juanita Louise d’Eon (Stephen Ashton Perry); daughter, Vanessa Ann Gillieo; granddaughter, Kendra Louise d’Eon (Jake Dockstator); siblings, Yvonne Deveau; Frank Harrington (Darlene); Jacqueline Harrington sisters-in-law, Helen Harrington and Madonna Cross. She was predeceased by her brothers, Martin Harrington and his wife Cecelia; Norman Harrington; Amos Harrington; brother-in-law, Stanley Deveau.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, with a public visitation from 1p.m. until the time of the service.
