It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Benjamin Kristopher Little Tree O’Cheek on January 19, 2023 at the age of 24 years.
Benjamin was a gifted athlete, a talented artist, and a wise soul. He was deeply beloved by his family and friends. For 24 years Benjamin blessed this world with his kind heart and generous spirit. A close friend of Benjamin shared, “My favourite thing about Benj is that he never made me feel weird just being myself around him, we were both crazy and funny, he will always be my big little brother… and I was thankful that I had him on my side.”
Benjamin was predeceased by Kookum Margaret Cameron, Shoomis Douglas McDonald, Ada Margaret Hunt, Terry McDonald, Belinda Paishk, and Mylo McDonald.
He is loved and remembered by his grandparents Rose McDonald, Fred Cameron, his mother Marguerite Hunt, his father Kristopher O’Cheek, his siblings Amelia Dubois (Larry Sdrakas), Kaiya O’Cheek, James O’Cheek, his aunts and uncles Jordan, Peter, Laura (Vincent), Jonathan (Diane), Cynthia (Curtis), Warren, Todd (Regan), Craig (Shay), Georgina (Marvin), Arlene (Evans), Tiffany (Ceaser), Renee (April), Paula, Saul, his cousins George (Cherilyn), Regina, Monica, Jonathan, Chynica (Malcom), Shania (Jay), Tyler, Destin, Lesner, Tyra, Elora, Peterson (JoJo), Tylis, Alaina, Latrelle, Stiles, Christian, Shayna, Kylie, and Candace and his nephew Teddy and niece Pearl.
