Belva Jean Johnston (nee Evans)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital, on Sunday April 9th, 2023. Belva Johnston age 76 years, beloved wife of 58 years to Garfield Johnston. Daughter of Dorothy Evans, residing at Rosebridge Manor, and the late Loman Evans. Loving mother of Claudette Dunster (Al) and Tracey Walker (Randy). Predeceased by a daughter Trudy Coon and by an infant at birth. Also survived by a special son-in-law Jason Coon. Belva will be sadly missed by grandchildren Brittany Walker, Kaitlyn Walker (Laurel) and Dylan Walker (Alexis) and siblings, Mary Jane Kerr (Mike), Donna Marie Thompson (Rick), Cheryle Anne McCallum (Glen) and Lee Johnson (Dave). Dear sister-in-law of Gertie Morrison and Doris Johnston and adored aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Church Oak Leaf, on Friday April 14th, 2023 at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Belva’s Life to follow at Cedar Valley Golf Course, 7041 County Road 29, from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
