It is with sadness that the family of Barbara Luetta Hynick, 89, of Bridgewater and formerly of Lunenburg announces her comfortable passing on Friday, April 07, 2023 at Ryan Hall Nursing Home, Bridgewater.
Born in Lunenburg, Barbara was the daughter of the late Charles and Lottie (Greek) Berringer.
Barbara was a lady with great faith and was an active member of Faith Baptist Chapel Centre. In her earlier years she worked at Rudolph’s Ladies Wear Shop and was actively involved as a leader with Girl Guides in Lunenburg. Barbara was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Her love of life, family, friends and the community at large, were so important to her. Barbara’s quiet courage, strength of spirit and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved her.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Jane Hynick (Curtis), Grand Prairie, Alberta and Susan Hayward of Fredericton, grandchildren, Ashley, Arien, Jared and Jordan and great grandchildren, Mataya, Alana, Hailey, Liam, Karlee, Nixon, Easton and dear friend, Sharon (Cory) Jones.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Gordon in 1995 and a son-in-law, Kevin Hayward and a great grandchild, Reesa.
Funeral service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held Thursday at 11: 00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Chapel, Centre, Pastor Steven Hiltz, officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Baptist Chapel.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg.
