Barbara passed away peacefully at Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre on December 29, 2022. Barbara will be dearly and lovingly missed by her son, Tom (Cathy); son, Ian (Coralee); three grandchildren: Mackenzie, Christopher and Jayme; and brother, Willie. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald and son, Gordon.
Barbara was born in Vermilion, Alberta and grew up in Iron River and Bonnyville before moving to Edmonton with her husband, Donald in 1959 until his passing in January 1999. She dedicated her time to looking after her family and volunteering at her local church. She loved living in her home of many years and looking after her roses and backyard.
The family would like to thank Geraldine and the staff at the EGCCC for the care and comfort provided to Mom.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 12, 2023, at Trinity United Church (8810 Meadowlark Road, Edmonton). She will be laid to rest following the service at Beechmount Cemetery (12420 104 Street, Edmonton).
