It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Audrey Sine on July 28, 2023, at the age of 98. The former Audrey Isabelle White RN, Brockville General Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1947. Born in Hamilton on February 23, 1925, she moved to Brockville with her family in 1931. Beloved wife for 48 years of the late Eugene Charles Sine, 1999. Loving mother of Peter, Perry (Jennifer) all of Brockville, Stephen of British Columbia, and Andrew (Paul Olney) of Florida. Missed by grandchildren Emily Sine (Dave Hurtubise), Ethan Sine (Kat LaFortune), and Erin Branco (Paulo), and two great-grandchildren Oliver and Annabelle. Survived by nieces and nephews Bill Simakis (Effie), Alexander Simakis (Milu), Nancy, Kate, and Dave White. Daughter of the late George S. and Hilda I. (Walmsley) White. Predeceased by infant daughter Brenda Isabelle, brother George D. White (Betty Rothwell deceased), and sister Mary E. White-Simakis (Kosta Simakis deceased).
Family and friends may pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Ontario on Tuesday August 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Rev. Marianne Emig Carr officiating. Donations in memory of Audrey may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Brockville, Brockville General Hospital Foundation or a Charity of your Choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
