Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the unexpected passing of Audrey Mary (Langille) Day, on January 26, 2023, at her home. She was born in Saint John on August 13, 1931, to the late Vernon and Alice (Parker) Langille.
Audrey had many careers over the years, she worked as a cook for Union Deli, as a caterer in supermarkets, worked in many Dominion Stores and Sach’s in the states. She was hard working and didn’t retire until she was 75 years old. Audrey was a natural born caregiver who devoted herself to helping others. Over the years, she provided a home to so many people and became a mother to everyone she helped out. She often said she went to the “School of Hard Knocks” because she could be stern and tough and had been through a lot. She had a voice and knew how to use it but she was always so kind and caring, and was very intelligent. She will be deeply missed by all the people whose lives she touched so deeply.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Paul) Sugden; son, Chris Blinn; 5 grandchildren, Cheyanne, Shane, Marcus, Ryan and Carrie; 8 great-grandchildren, Jetson, Cayden, Griffin, Casia, Landon, Locklin, Yovanna and Orlando; her brother, Ronald (Dina) and her sister Verna “Pippy” (Lloyd); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her best friend, Maggie.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where a Celebration of her Life will take place on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with visitation being held one hour prior. For those who wish, memorial donations made in Audrey’s memory to the SPCA-Animal Rescue League or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
