It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of April Ann Francis on Thursday, June 1, 2023 just shy of her 32 birthday. April was born on June 20, 1991 in Ridgeway, Ontario to Mike Griffi and Mary Anne Trombley. April’s humor, sarcasm and caring heart are some of her greatest qualities. She wore her heart on her sleeve and always cared about others before herself. April enjoyed spending her spare time helping the less fortunate, sponsoring those battling addiction and struggling with mental health through encouraging them that they were loved. She was always involved with the community, giving to the homeless as well as animals. But above all, she was a great mother to her children Zooey and Kaven. They were her entire life and April’s world revolved around them. She spent her time determined to raise kind, caring and loving children, which she accomplished. April loved spending time with family and attending family gatherings, it was her safe place. April will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary Anne, whom April was the full caregiver for after receiving a diagnosis for a degenerative neurological disorder, her daughter, Zooey AnnaLynn Fox, her son, Kaven Michael Fox, her father, Mike Griffi in Ontario, her half-brother, Patrick and her half-sister, Renee. She will also be sadly missed by all of her aunts, uncles, loving cousins, dear nieces and nephews whom April loved so much. April was predeceased by her grandmother, Ethel Francis Trombley. April had such a bright smiling face that we will all miss very dearly. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
