Obituary of Annette LeBlanc
Annette LeBlanc of Oshawa passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 85, at Sunnybrook Hospital on Thursday August 31st, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Annette was born in a small town in Simcoe County. After graduating with a degree from Teachers College at an early age, she started her career in St. Catharines and finished her career as a French teacher with the Durham Catholic District School Board.
Annette enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the cottage, shopping, baking, sewing, gardening, and playing cards.
Annette and her husband have three children, Susan (Brian), David (Mary) and Carol (Brett).
She is survived by her husband Bob and sister Linda. Annette will be lovingly remembered by her children, fourteen grandchildren, great grandchild, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa on Friday September 6th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday September 9th at Paroisse Assomption de Notre Dame Church in Oshawa at 12:00pm. Burial will follow with a celebration of life in her home town at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a similar organization.
