We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ann Semenoff on January 23,2023 at the Tudor Manor in Okotoks, Alberta.
Ann was our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Ann was born on May 28,1930 in Langham, Saskatchewan to Pete and Annie Bludoff. Ann grew up in Saskatchewan and the family later moved to Canyon B.C. in the Creston Valley where they farmed. While in B.C. Ann worked at the Creston Valley Packing House.
Ann and Alex were married at her parents’ home on February 15, 1957. Ann and Alex moved to Pincher Creek, Alberta where Alex was a junior/senior high school teacher at Matthew Haultain High School and Ann was a homemaker. In November of that year their daughter Debbie was born. Their son Ron was born in 1961.
The family moved to Calgary in 1965. Alex worked for the Rocky View School Division and Ann took a cosmetology course at Jacobsen’s School of Beauty and later worked for Sears as a salesclerk.
Ann loved working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She enjoyed various needlecrafts, baking and loved to travel throughout Canada and the U.S.A.
Ann loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In 2008, Ann and Alex moved to the Tucker Hill area of Okotoks and resided there for 11 years before moving to the Medicine Tree Manor in High River in September, 2019. Due to failing health, Ann was transferred to the Tudor Manor in Okotoks on February 16,2021.
Ann is lovingly remembered by her husband Alex, daughter Debbie (Pierre) Boucher, son Ron (Marie) Semenoff, Grandchildren, Nathan(Lindsay) Boucher, Monica (Alan) Garner, Anthony Boucher, Dani Chilcott, Aaron(Tiffaney) Boucher, Joe Semenoff; Great Grandchildren, Mia Boucher, and John and Henry Boucher. Ann was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Johnie Bludoff, Pete Bludoff, Hazel Schultz, twin sister Nellie Ewashen, Susan Nemanishen and Fred Bludoff.
We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Joanna Fay and all the wonderful staff at the Tudor Manor for all their kindness and compassionate care for Ann during her stay.
