Anna Maguerite Crawford (Olsen) passed away peacefully at Fairvern Nursing Home on May 10th, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved wife (Gavin) Bruce Crawford for 64 years of trust, respect, understanding and Love. Loved Mother of Geoffrey (late Joanne Sequin), Alison (Steve Cole) and John (Maggie Zhou) Crawford. Cherished grandmother to the late Gavin Crawford, Katie (Curtis) Patterson, Jessie, Benji and Carly Crawford. Greate Grandmother of Cooper and Carla Patterson. Survived by siblings Shirley (late Harold) Matthews, Edgar and Ernie (Betty) Olsen. Pre-Deceased by siblings and in-laws James, Ken (Phyllis), Ross Olsen and Claire (Phillip) Barnes.
Anna enjoyed the adventures life has to offer. Dancing with Bruce, backcountry canoeing in Algonquin Park with friends, reading and rug hooking to name a few. Anna was a member of the South Muskoka Curling Club for thirty-six years.
In the nineties Anna and Bruce retired, moved to a home with acreage, dusted off childhood lessons learned from their parents and began producing maple syrup with family and friends, a tradition that continues.
Special thanks from Anna’s children to all our friends and family who have supported our Mom and Dad with rides, wood cutting, food, syrup production and friendship.
Following Anna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023 1:00-4:00 pm at the Bracebridge Legion Branch 161. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Manna Food Bank would be appreciated.
