HUMMEL, Ann Joan
Ann died peacefully, with family by her side, at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was 83 years old. Ann (Phillips) was predeceased by her husband Alvin Cyril Hummel (1931-2009). She was the beloved mother of Deborah Smith (Terry) of Edmonton, Darla Howe (Gord) of Woodville, Donna McMillan of Sundridge, Diane Mitchell (Don) of Beaverton and the late Danny Hummel (1970-2016). She was predeceased by her grandson Billy McMillan (1978-2009), Jeff Mitchell (1984-2013), and will be lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Ann was born in Port Loring, one of eight children of the late Martha (Hampel) and Rudy Phillips. She was the dear sister of Rosalie of Woodstock and Allie of Chatham, and was predeceased by her siblings Mildred, Ernest, Tom, Jack and Elsie. The Hummel family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes in Arnstein Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Ann to Lakeview Manor Residents Council, Beaverton are suggested.
