VOORTMAN, Anita Sylvia (nee Andree)
Peacefully with her family at her side, Anita Sylvia Voortman (Andree) passed away on April 18, 2023 at the age of 64. On March 3, Anita was admitted into Joseph Brant Hospital suffering from complications due to liver deterioration. In the few weeks that followed, Anita made some improvement but eventually God decided to take her home.
Anita will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 42 years, Bernie and their five children and 13 grandchildren; Steven & Thea (Maryn, Laene), Benjamen & Amy (Blair, Adam, Judah, Reed), Jason & Stacy (Brittany, Elicia), Beverly & Craig Nyman (Addison, Dylan) and Allen & Carly (Wes, Kendra, Justin).
Anita also leaves behind: brother Mel (Betty); sisters-in-law Donna, Jane; sisters Alice (Nick) Groen, Geri (Bryan) DeWeerd and the Voortman family. Anita was predeceased by her brothers John and Bob and her parents, Andy and Ann Andree.
Anita will be remembered for her gift of hospitality, humour and servant heart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at CALVARY CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 265 Middletown Road, Dundas, where the Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. Private Family Interment will precede the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
