Obituary of Andrew Mitchell
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Andrew on February 18, 2023. Loving, caring and amazing husband to Katrina. Loving son of Robert and Mary Lynn, and son-in-law to Terry and Agnes Lee. Cherished little brother to Katie Mitchell, Candice (Ivan Tomasic), brother-in-law to Courtney Lee (Jeff Poirier) and Cody Lee (Danielle D’Haene). Loving Papa to his fur-babies Pugsley and George. Beloved uncle Ohno to Maybelle, Evvelyn, Emily, Olivia, and Hannah, Colton and Jacob. We love you $5 bucks worth. Go Leafs Go ! Andrew will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Andrew had a deep love for all sports, especially hockey and NASCAR racing. He was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and over his many years enjoyed playing both hockey and sledge hockey. He loved being on the corner, in the dirt of a race track. An avid collector of Lego, John Deere, and too many hats.
A Celebration of Life with refreshments and snacks will take place on Saturday, February 25 from 2-4pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. As a tribute to Andrew and his love of hockey, if possible, we request that guests wear their favourite hockey jersey. If desired, donations to either the Muscular Dystrophy of Canada or the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by Andrew’s family.
