Andrew James Ward

Andrew James Ward, of la Maison des Colombes in Neguac, and formerly of Natoaganeg (Eel Ground), who passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 67.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Peter and Bertha (Jacobs) Ward.
He is survived by seven sisters Margaret Barnaby of Natoaganeg, Bertha Mountain of Natoaganeg, Patricia Ann Ramsay of Natoaganeg, Mary Louise Rimers of Moncton, Nancy MacDonald of Miramichi, Barbara Ward of Natoaganeg, and Dorothy Ward of Natoaganeg; one brother Kim of Neguac; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Hazel, and Mary Theresa; and brothers Thomas Ward, Peter Anthony Ward, Edward John Ward, and Isaac Ward.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 10 am, from St Joachim’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Peter Aloo officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Andrew’s late great nephew Achahk Dumas.
