Andrew “Andy” Allen Edward Little
1964-2023
REXTON, NB – It is with great sadness that the family of
Andrew (Andy) Allan Edward Little announce his sudden passing on
January 2nd, 2023 at his home in Rexton. Andy was the son of Lillian
(Beck) Little and the late Eldon Little and grew up in Beersville, NB.
He was termed a “miracle baby” when he came into the world
in Saint John on January 10th, 1964 weighing just over four pounds and
with accompanying health concerns.
Andy is survived by his loving and heartbroken mother,
Lillian, of the Bois Joli Special Care Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. He
is also survived by his aunt, Jean Little of Clairville and uncle,
Milton and aunt Simonne of Saint John, several cousins, relatives, and
special friends. Andy was predeceased by his infant sister, Andrea
Little and his father, Eldon Little.
Everyone around the Rexton area seemed to know Andy and the
streets will seem a bit emptier without his presence. His mode of
transportation was his bicycle, with accompanying attachments for
collecting refundables. He always seemed to be tinkering with it or
with some electronic item that others had thrown away. His latest
project was a stereo system to which he had brought back enough use to
be of value once again. He was still working on it over the
holidays.
Andy loved country music, “Home Alone” and other
comedic movies, being out and about, and the friendship of countless
people. He worked at different jobs as a young man and was a member of
various clubs over his lifetime. He was blessed with many great
physicians over the years, namely Dr. Michael Graham, Dr. Michelle
LeBlanc, and his cardiologist Dr. Rina Lee. Always fragile, Andy
seemed to defy logic in his ability to move and remain active
throughout life.
Before moving to Rexton, Andy was a true “country
boy” and loved to roam the trails with his dog by his side, bike
to see friends or relatives, or drive his father’s car to
community events until it finally gave out. Andy had a love for
animals and people alike. He always had a story to tell, complete with
expletives and laughs. He did not have what would be called an easy
life, but he enjoyed each day and will be missed by so
many.
Andy will be remembered by his approach to life, his
personality, his love of family and friends, and his ability to
conquer what others could not. Thank you to everyone who supported
Andy with companionship, meals, and gifts. In his memory let us
cherish the simple moments, the fresh air, and one
another.
There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. A
private family gathering will be held in the spring. Condolences may
be sent to Andy’s mother, Lillian Little, Foyer Bois Joli,
130 Ch. Saint Ignace, Saint Louis-de-Kent, NB E4X 2L9
In Andy’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson Funeral
Home, Richibucto. (523-4252)
