Obituary
Life was suddenly and sadly taken away on June 10, 2023, in Brandon, Manitoba at the age of 31 years.
He leaves behind his partner Rita Dawn Innerst and their daughter Genesis Violet Renae Innerst-Katzenellenbogen. He is the beloved son to Denise F. Cook (mother) and Armin H. Katzenellenbogen (father) and grandson to Ilse Katzenellenbogen (grandmother). He also leaves behind his siblings Audrey L. Cook (sister) & Anaiya Ruby Evaline Messner-Cook (niece), David Katzenellenbogen (brother), George Turtle (adopted brother), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Andre was a happy, loving and caring father and person. He always helped others and made sure that everyone was good. He loved to laugh and spend time with his family. He loved to listen to his music, play video games and even dance. He was very passionate about him and his father’s soccer team Schalke04 and would watch each game. Andre talked about how one day he wanted to go back home to a Germany to visit and show his home village to his partner. He wanted to do many things in life. One was to start a family with his partner and create a joined life together. He loved adventure and wanted to go skydiving, go to the water parks, and wanted to go white water rafting with his partner in New Zealand. There are many things he wanted to do in his life but unfortunately his life was taken too soon. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
In memory of Andre’ J. Katzenellenbogen, we would like to say our last goodbyes to him. Family and friends are welcomed to attend his Viewing held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and his Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, located at 724 Selkirk Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A reception and time of fellowship to follow.
