Allan Lorne Ferris
September 7, 1935 – June 4, 2023
Allan was born on September 7, 1935 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. Al passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 at Ridge Meadows Hospital after a brief stay. He was a resident of Coquitlam, BC for over 40 years.
Al was a General Contractor and Bridge Inspector for many years until he finally retired in his mid 70’s.
Allan was married to the love of his life, Mona, for 53 years, from 1959 until her death in 2011. They were both predeceased by their firstborn son, Jeff, who passed away tragically in 1988. Dad was the proud father to 4 children Jeff (predeceased), Tom (Julie) Ferris, Howard Ferris, and daughter Angie (Norm) Bonneau. He was also the proud Grandfather/Papa to two beautiful Granddaughters, Samantha (27) and Kairynn (16).
Al will be missed deeply by his devoted family and friends and extended family.
Al was known for his story telling of his adventures in his life and always loved to tell jokes.
They definitely broke the mold after dad was born! He was an amazing man who could fix anything and build anything! He was the guy everyone would call for help as he really was a “Jack of all Trades”. He would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to help everyone.
He will be sadly and deeply missed by all who knew him.
Please raise a glass and cheers to this incredible man and his life.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
