Obituary of Alexandria M Robichaud
Alexandria M. Robichaud of Fredericton, NB, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the age of 103. She was the daughter of Jean G. and Amanda (Boudreau) Robichaud of Shippagan, NB.
Left to mourn Alexandria’s passing is her devoted caregiver, Julia Gardner and family, her sister-in-law, Anita Robichaud, a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Alexandria was predeceased by her 12 siblings, and her long time friend and travel companion, Teresa Killoran.
Alexandria was a devoted teacher, and she was an outstanding bilingual Assistant to the Superintendent of Education for all of Northumberland County from 1940 to 1966. After completing her Master’s Degree at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, she became a Professor at UNB teaching French as a second language.
Alexandria was an avid traveler, an amazing cook, she loved playing bridge, knitting, gardening, and she was very proud of the house she designed and lived in.
As per Alexandria’s wishes, cremation has taken place. She will be interred with her parents in Shippagan at a later date.
Donations in memory of Alexandria can be made to the Fredericton Community Kitchens which she helped to establish, Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
