It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert “Bernie” Bernard Burhoe, 77, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 20, 2023. Born in Armadale, PEI, he was a son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Jackson) Burhoe. Bernie will be deeply missed by his spouse Valerie Flynn; his children: Kent Burhoe (Sue), Tisha LeBreton (Allen), and Troy Burhoe; step-daughter Nicole Flynn (John), all of Saint John; his brothers: Herbie Burhoe (Cathy) of Sus, and Brian Burhoe (Diane) of Titusville; his grandchildren: Allen, Brittany, Dawson, and Samantha; his great-grandchildren: Jordan, Aidan, Liam, Jeff, and Jack; his furever friends: Casey, Jazz & Mia; as well as by many extended family members and good friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Jeffrey LeBreton. Bernie’s favourite watering hole was the Legion Branch # 53. He was an avid horseman, he loved being a horse owner and racing them at the Exhibition Raceway. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 23, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Donations to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
