Adrienne Bernard passed away peacefully the morning of January 7, 2023, in Calgary, Alberta, with family at her side at the age of 88 years.
She was born on September 29, 1934, in Caplan, Quebec. In 1951, she moved to Alberta. In 2014, she relocated to Calgary to be near her children.
Adrienne was predeceased by her parents, Gerard Bernard and Maria Poirier; her siblings, Paul, Monique; and her son, Denis.
She is survived by her brothers, Maurice, and Raymond; sisters: Nicole, Andree, Reine, and Lyse; her daughter-in-law, Eileen; daughter, Cecile (Ralph); and sons, Raymond (Gisele) and Normand. She will also be lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren whom she adored, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Adrienne’s love of travel took her to many locations worldwide. She was able to grow a stunning variety of beautiful flowers, enjoyed cooking, and entertaining. Her outgoing personality made her many close friends whom she treasured.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stinton and the staff at the Newport Harbour Care Centre for their care and compassion.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, with a Funeral Liturgy to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. Following the Funeral Liturgy, the family invites you to join them for fellowship and friendship in the Mayflower Reception Lounge in Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home.
