Married Peter J. Petipas JR. in 1959
Lover of fashion and chocolate of any kind, Adelaide and Peter owned and operated many business in Whitbourne until their retirement, when they enjoyed travel and entertaining friends.
Predeceased by her son Peter, parents Walter and Merab Cumby, brother Charlie, and sister Debbie.
Leaving to mourn her husband Peter, daughter Sharon, Sharon Dean, William, Cecil, Clyde, and Marion, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the all the staff at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion in Carbonear, the staff at Monty’s Place in Whitbourne, and most of all to the staff on 4 South at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion for their kindness and compassion shown to Adelaide and Pete. Special thanks to dear family friend, Gladys Cooper, for the Eulogy.
Visitation will take place on Thursday May 4 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Holloway Funeral Home in Whitbourne . Funeral will take place the Alphonsus Catholic Church in Whitbourne on Friday May 5, at 10 0:PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trinity Conception Placentia Health Foundation for the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, would be appreciated.
Mom is now free from the Alzheimer’s disease that took her away from us far too soon, and is finally reunited with her loving son, Peter, and the rest of the gang.
The family politely requests that masks be worn.

Pete, Sharon and family I’m so sorry to hear of Adelaide’ passing!
She was such a great person and a wonderful friend.I’ll always remember our happy times in Florida, esp. our shopping together. She is out of her suffering and good memories will live on!!!
