Obituary For Caroline Wereley (nee Batt)
Caroline Wereley, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Rainbow Lake, AB, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 77 years.
Caroline was born on April 12, 1945, in Fort Vermilion, AB, to Nick and Helen Batt and was raised in Rocky Lane, AB. Caroline and her husband resided in Rainbow Lake for 35 years where they raised a family.
She loved gardening and crafting of every variety. Caroline was the postmistress for 17 years before her retirement in 2002.
Caroline will be sadly missed by her children Joyce (Duncan) Walker, and Darcy (Diane) Wereley; 5 grandchildren; as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, brother John, sister Gail, as well as her parents Nick and Helen.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
Memorial Donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation (800 College Plaza 8215 112 St., Edmonton, AB, T6G 2C8).
