Nancy Creelman, beloved wife of Bob Fowler, passed away on December 28, 2022, at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Nancy will be greatly missed by her daughter Leslie, sons Gordon, David and Glenn, granddaughter Shannon, and daughter-in-law Sandra Ellement.
Nancy was born and raised in Manitoba, graduating from the Winnipeg General Hospital as a registered nurse in 1959. She married and followed her profession in a number of cities, eventually settling in Ottawa where she raised her family. On retirement, she continued to enjoy a full life, travelling a number of times to Scotland to track down her family roots, taking up watercolour painting, and volunteering for many years at the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre.
She will be forever remembered for her natural wisdom, selflessness and especially love of family.
A memorial service and interment will be held in the spring.
Because of Nancy‘s special affection for cats, it is suggested that donations in her memory could be made to the local cat rescue organization Furry Tales Rescue .
