Maureen Anne Campbell (nee McManus), passed away at the age of 75 after suffering for 11 months with acute Leukemia (MDS).
Maureen was born in Toronto, The eldest child of Latta Charles and Mercedes McManus of East York.
Maureen graduated as an RN from Toronto Western Hospital in 1968.
She is survived by her loving husband Don of Alliston, daughter Laura of Cookstown (Igor Jankovich), grandchildren Madeline Jensen, Charlie Jenson, Luke Jankovich. Son Paul Campbell of Oakville (Michelle), grandchildren Cole and Ethan.
Maureen worked as a Registered Nurse at Mississauga General,
Then most of her career at Stephenson Memorial Hospital in Emergency Dept. She loved Nursing, and made many lifelong friends working there.
Special thanks from Maureen’s Family to the great Nurses and Doctors on the chemo floor at RVH, Barrie.
Also to the staff at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston.
Donations in her memory can be made to Matthews House Hospice, RVH in Barrie or Stevenson Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Thursday, April 13 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm
Funeral service will be held at Drury Funeral Centre Friday, April 14, 11 am, followed by lunch and sandwiches.
